Seeds of Travel with Kim offers the sort of unique travel experiences you can only enjoy as part of a small group.
I was fortunate to join just such a group of like-minded travellers who set out to savour the delights of a European Christmas market adventure with Kim in December 2023.
A cornucopia of sensory delights, the Christmas markets transport the traveller to a magical world of snow, ice-skating, Gluhwein (mulled wine), Sachertorte, Tredlnik, and unique Christmas decorations fashioned from wood, glass, fabric, metal, tatting, biscuit dough and even chocolate.
Then, of course, there are the huge, beautifully decorated Christmas trees that form the backdrop to the markets. Artistically strung lights lead the wanderer down cobbled laneways away from the hustle and bustle of the markets, where local artisans sell their wares, street musicians play, and choirs sing.
We enjoyed two cruises, each designed to take us seamlessly to towns and cities where we could soak up the atmosphere of the Christmas markets, both by day and night. There were also opportunities to explore further afield, taking in the architecture and cultural history of the places we visited, through guided walks, or simply by wandering of our own accord. We visited sites like the magnificent Cologne Cathedral, and the World Heritage-listed Cesky Krumlov, and were treated to a private concert in a chapel in Bratislava.
A highlight of our trip was a stopover in Prague between cruises. Here we wandered the ancient streets feeling as though we had stepped into a picture book set in a bygone era. With quaint, old-world accommodation a few steps from the famous Charles Bridge, everything Prague had to offer was at our fingertips. We felt very spoilt.
Wherever we went there was a range of unique experiences, and comfortable, cosy, centrally located accommodation waiting for us. Kim and Genine pulled together a wonderful itinerary offering many options and the flexibility only small-group travel can provide.

Totally loved travelling with “Seeds of Travel ” Kim is a wonderful Host/ Tour leader. We had an unforgettable journey, we were blessed with the heaviest overnight snowfall recorded for years in Germany. Being able to experience our magical white Christmas that only movies provide. We had the perfect itinerary. The Xmas markets were extraordinary, something the whole world should experience. There is nothing like the magic of Christmas of which on this trip, nothing was spared. It felt like you were in a real-life Disney movie. All of our spacious/ lux accommodation was strategically perfectly located close to our designated activities. Transport reminded me of the movie planes, trains & automobiles…it was great to experience their rail system, extremely well organised. Both river cruise ships were comfortable & very accommodating… Would I recommend this trip to other people? ABSOLUTELY

We had an amazing time when we holidayed in Dubai & Greece with Kim of Seeds of Travel. Kim had put an amazing itinerary together, and the guides she had chosen had an abundance of local knowledge. There were many highlights, Santorini with its pristine white buildings and amazing views of the bay. Each island we visited was different from the last but equally beautiful. Visiting the monasteries of Meteora perched high up on the mountainous rocks is unforgettable. Travelling in a small group was great. Kim’s attention to detail was evident in every activity we did. In her downtime Kim would be making fun reels of our day and posting them on ‘WhatsApp’ This App made communication between group members very easy even for those technically challenged. Genine from MTA also did an amazing job putting everything together behind the scenes. I would highly recommend a holiday guided by Kim if you are single or a couple.

Kim really went above and beyond to make the trip fun for everyone. The trip was so well organised from the beginning with Genine assisting with flights and all other questions along the way and Kim being very responsive and always happy to answer any questions. The trip included so many fun activities to cater for all interests and great accommodations. I would highly recommend a tour with Seeds of Travel as it is something I will remember forever.

The trip to Dubai, Athens and the Greek Islands was amazing. It’s an experience Donna and I will never forget. Kim is so organised and friendly. It was so good having everything organised by Seeds of Travel, we just had to go along and enjoy the journey.
